MLHIM Model Release

Hi All,

I am happy to say that we are making great progress.
Now is the time that we need as many sets of eyes and as many brains as
possible working on this model. The text specifications will be updated
from the model from this point on.

If you are an Eclipse user (or want to become one) then you can get the
complete set of models and code:
bzr branch lp:~mlhim-specs-dev/mlhim-specs/mlhim-emf

What works for me is to issuer that command in the Eclipse 'workspace'
directory. Then you can import the org.mlhim.rm project.

BUT! Alas, you have no time or desire to learn such an onerous tool?
Well then; just download the
http://launchpad.net/mlhim-specs/trunk/2.0.1/+download/MLHIM2-dev-schemas.zip

file and you then have the DHTML documentation and the XML Schemas. You
can peruse the documents and any errors you find please create a bug
report for them at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mlhim-specs

If you have questions please create an entry here:
https://answers.launchpad.net/mlhim-specs These entries are *especially*
helpful for creating good documentation. If YOU have a question you can
bet that someone else will have the same one at some point. PLEASE take
a little bit of time and help out. :-)

For developers, I ask that several of you will use some utilities to
create bindings from the XML Schemas to Python, Ruby, Lua, C++ ?
Example:
PyXB is one I have used in the past for creating Python bindings.

We really need to know if this approach creates usable code. This will
gives us generic reference model code for all popular languages.
Generated from one common model source. I am sure that you all can see
the benefits in this helping to build the MLHIM community.

The work on the Xmind CCD template is progressing nicely. Personally, I
will be working this weekend on creating a CCD using EMF. Since one
model can inherit from another. It is my hypothesis that this is very
doable. This isn't a tool we want to expose domain experts to, but it
does provide a workflow path to CCDs while waiting on HKCR to be built.

I know here is Brazil I can't expect much since it is Carnival. But, if
you happen to have a few minutes to spare it will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Tim
