Message #02340
[Bug 722111] [NEW] Incremental size too large in 0.11.3 and variable with user logged
Public bug reported:
Ubuntu 10.10 Desktop x64. SBackup installed from Ubuntu repositories.
Backup is scheduled and it copies from a NTFS mounted filesystem to NFS
shared directory. Full backup each 30 days. File /etc/sbackup.conf is
included in backup set. No backup is still done.
First test: Full backup of a small set of files (about 10 MB). Backup is
auto-started when logon screen in Ubuntu. Backup is done OK. Then
SBackup is re-scheduled to some minutes later. One file (full.txt) is
deliberately modified. Another text file is created (INCREMENTAL.txt).
Then I restarted the computer.
Second test: Inc backup. Again, backup is started when logon screen.
Backup size and files are exactly the same that full backup. Again, I
re-scheduled backup to some minutes later. I modified the two text
files. Again the computer is restarted.
Last test: Inc backup. This time, I was logged with sudo rights user
(same user that configurates sbackup) when backup started. Backup size
is OK now and files backed-up are OK.
I attach the backup files and logs (about 17MB). Please, if you see a
time difference from NFS server and Computer which make the backups
(about 8 minutes), just ignore this. My server doesn't sync time
correctly and I still have to fix this. My real backups are done weekly,
so this time difference should be irrelevant, and they behave the same
way.
Thanks and sorry for my English.
** Affects: sbackup
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
