trunk-wms proposes another way to fix this for v8: considering the UI is consistent and does not allow users to easily enter moves at past dates, it simply 
- blocks entering inventories before after a stock move
- blocks moves during an inventory
We're now integrating these features in another module (see lp:~numerigraphe-team/stock-logistic-warehouse/7.0-inventory-location).
Then this here module will probably not be useful anymore.
