We could still start out with a branch copy of the gtk client which we can
patch with code that OpenERP delivers via OPW but did not yet merge.

We would not pretend to replace the gtk client but improve, perhaps we can
pursuade OpenERP SA this way to integrate their patches more promptly or
demonstrate with our branch that changes are manageable.

I agree we should not yet assume full control over the gtk branch.
