I ran "syncronize metadata" then and got the full population of my
websites Including ADMIN to show up in Websites in Connectors. Very cool.

I need to drive to the office next and read some more about this. I did
notice that the "folder" that the OpenLabs (via Magentoconnect) loads is
called "OpenLabs" while the BZR folder has a much longer name.

Definitely don't want to screw this up just here so walking softly.
Thoughts on how to check versions and builds would be appreciated.

*Subject: *[Openerp-connector-community] Seems Magento Connector not
installing: Fault: <Fault 3: 'Invalid api path.'>

I have gotten everything seeming to to work on the OpenERP side. I
followed directions from the Magento Side but the Connector does not
show up along side ot her Extensions in Magento Downloader page.

I assumed in OpenERP that "synchronize metadata" would bring a list of
available Websites and Views when one BackEnd is defined.

I get a Traceback error that ends w/

Fault: <Fault 3: 'Invalid api path.

I do have The User, the Role and the Password configured in Magento,
but have no feedback that the connector is installed. Could I pull an
older Connector in via MagentoConnect, then over write the files that
came in w/ my bzr branch command on the Magento Server?

thanks in advance

Landis

Hi Landis,

Thanks for your returns on that.

For your first attempt, I think that it did not worked because you moved the entire branch in magento_root/app/code/community, but only the "OpenLabs" directory should be (the structure of the module installed via Magento Connect should be the same). Could it be the reason?

I don't think it is reliable to use the version on "Magento Connect", some of the API pathes are the same, but probably not all of them.

At least, this reveals that the Magento side of the connector is somewhat broken. We should be able to install it from "Magento Connect". However, this is not possible with the actual module owned by OpenLabs on Magento Connect.

Originally we planned to rewrite the Magento part of the connector with a Magento developer (I am not) before the release, but it has been compromised. If anyone has experience with development on Magento, it would be nice to discuss about that on this list.

Best Regards,
