Guys, I can do the extraction for the community.

Now one fundamental question: do we put that under the product attribute
project (sorry no link I am on my cell phone) or under a new project?

Two remarks:

1) about the product attributes branches/projects: there are currently 2
conflicting branches of it: one maintained by Sebastien Beau and the other
from CampToCamp. At least it would be cool to sort this out beforr moving
to such a branch if it's what we choose.

2) Guys like Sebastien (and possibly me) think managing variants can be a
lot more complex than just the product_variant_multi module and hence
nvolve a growing set of modules and therefor be addressed in a whole
separate project.

Again ideally one module = one branch. But remember that OpenERP doesn't
enforce any module packaging standard nor even store enough deendency
metadata to allow transfotmation into standard modules. So unfortunately
managing modules branches and evolutions one by one manually ensuring
compatibility at every update is not not realistic today. That's why for
not a certain level of module grouping should be asumed, as artificial as
it may seem...
