Hello Mario,

This is  not a bug but it's improvement for 6.1. Because during user
tests many people did not fill this field and as a result there was not
picking and not procurement and the PO was mostly useless.

And If user don't fill this field then the most important thing account
move and stock move will not generated.

We have made a different behaviour of PO then the SO because sale order
is created by user's company(we are creating for our customer) and PO is
created by our supplier.

That's why we can not consider it.

  (V6.1 purchase_order) Product should not be a required field

Status in OpenERP Addons (modules):
  Invalid

Bug description:
  On Purchase orders, field "Product" should not be a required field.

  A feature available in all previous versions is that when you need to
  request something that is not defined in your products catalog, you
  just leave the "Product" field empty and fill the "Description".  V6.1
  has the field marked as required, so this feature is not available...

  It is working as expected on invoices and sales orders...
