Public bug reported:

I was trying to preview videos had the audio on track 1 muted.  This
appears to affect the audio on previews too.

I spent a long time trying to see if I had the correct codecs installed,
only to realise that track 1 was muted which was affecting my previews.

I am unlikely to get caught again by this problem but it was not obvious
for why I could hear no audio.
