[Bug 1119138] [NEW] Memory is not cleaned up, uses up all RAM and swap

Public bug reported:

OpenShot gradually eats up all memory and even swap file as I work with
a project that uses 20-30 clips. The more I play them, the more memory
is used.

I see in HTOP that it's exactly OpenShot's memory, not OS file caching.

After 30-60 minutes, my computer becomes unusable, I have to close and
restart OpenShot. Fortunately, this cures the issue, but it's very
inconvenient.

I have 4Gb of RAM and 4Gb of swap, Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, OpenShot 1.4.0

** Affects: openshot
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
