Re: DEB Installers are ready for testing!!!

Hi Guys,

I've given the 9.04 32 bit debs a test and everything worked OK for me, see
attached file for details. I'll update later with 8.04 results, but the
wireless on my 8.04 laptop is broken again so I need to fiddle round for an
hour or so on that first.

I don't know where you find the time Jonathan, but you've done a great job,
and when you compare the development time of Openshot to Pitivi, well, your
progress has been remarkable. Give yourself a big pat on the back!

Cheers,
Andy.

Version of Ubuntu: 9.04
CPU: Intel 32 bit Quad Core
Did OpenShot Work? Yes
 - Import a Video? Yes
 - Import an Image? Yes
Did melt find "avformat": Yes
Version of ffmpeg: FFmpeg version git-91be88c
Notes: The FFmpeg installer didn't update - it reported I already had that version (I didn't use a clean install, I ran it on my active partition). Transitions worked OK. Openshot did hang at one point after I removed an image but it seemed to recover, and this error was in the terminal (Not related to the debs I think, couldn't reproduce it.):

The program 'OpenShot.py' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'.
  (Details: serial 989 error_code 3 request_code 3 minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
