Internet Relay Chat channel?

Would it be worthwhile registering the channel #openshot on FreeNode IRC
to provide a space where we can chat and brainstorm more informally and
interactively than is possible on the mailing list?

I keep coming across minor items I'd like to brainstorm for inspiration
or guidance that would look like 'noise' on the mailing list.
