Public bug reported:

I have been reading the bug reports about the processor maxing out at
100%. I have this same problem but only when editing certain types of
files. When import and working with .ogv files everything works fine.
When I import and work with .flv files...well, I can't work with .flv
files because I quickly get the 100% CPU problem. I just thought you
should know that this problem may be associated with specific file
types.
