[Bug 503209] Re: PAL DV doesn't play
That shows that MLT can't play your .dv files for whatever reason. Are
you able to try with any other file types? Audio or image files should
also work if you don't have any other video files. Either it is just
limited to some filetypes or your MLT installation is completely broken.
If the MLT installation is totally broken then I'm not too sure how to
get it working.
But without MLT working, Openshot won't do a lot.

Bug description:
Trying to import PAL DV file. When I press play, there is a momentary blue flash in the video display area, then black. The time display in the lower left reads 00:00:00.199 for 1 second, then 00:00:00.200 for one second, then repeats both 4 times (5 times total, over 10 seconds). timer stops at 00:00:00.200
No error messages on command line.
Installed from PPA. Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic, 32bit on via savage km400 chipset.
