[Bug 543960] [NEW] Transitions are very difficult to put in place

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openshot

When inserting a transition, two unintuitive things happen:

1. The transition always defaults to the "up" direction, even when it's
being placed over a transition that goes down a track.

2. The transition doesn't snap to anything, and defaults to the same
length no matter what.

I'd like to see transitions "know" when they've been placed across
overlapped clips, orient themselves in the right direction, and snap to
the edges of the overlapping clips so no adjustment is needed. This
would make editing so much more fluid and intuitive!

** Affects: openshot (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
