So, now we know that not a problem linked at MLT or at FFmpeg. What is your hardware ? 
You know, working with AVCHD files we need to have a good configuration and if i have an advice to give you, do a test converting a file in another format and after import him in Openshot. Try a tool like EKD (who manage the AVCHD Files in input and a lot of formats in output ).

Status in OpenShot Video Editor: New

Bug description:
I tried to edit some different mts videos several times, recorded by a videocamera. The program imports the format and I can drag it to the time line. But when I try to play the video in the monitor and edit it, it pixelises and gets blurred (impossible to be watched). After rendering it it is the same result. I have the last version of this application installed in my computer, so I do not know how to solve this problem. Could you give me a hand, please?
