I have Openshot 1.1.3 (on Ubuntu Lucid) and got the same error during a
(preview) playback so not sure it is necessarily fixed?

Bug description:
When I try to do something in the Openshot closes, if I run from the console says:

python: pthread_mutex_lock.c:62: __pthread_mutex_lock: Afirmación `mutex->__data.__owner == 0' fallida.

And icons for new project, save project ... not displayed until you pass the mouse over

I have Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit
