Message #03878
[Bug 562082] Re: Import files of 130 images or more hang program execution
I've been trying to reproduce this for a while, and have not been able
to, Using Karmic 32 bit, v0.5.0 of MLT 130+ images import without a
problem. Openshot does gray out for up 5-10 seconds, but it comes back
OK.
You might want to monitor your system resources during the import - I
monitored mine, but didn't notice anything unusual - YMMV.

Bug description:
When trying to import 130 or more images, the "Import File" dialog hangs, and the program stops working.
I tried with version 1.1.2 on Ubuntu 9.10 and version 1.1.3 on Kubuntu 9.10 with 10.04 betas.
I don't think it is an issue of image size, since I tried with small and big images: 36 MB or 450 MB sum. I all cases, importing a hundred images worked, but importing 130 fails.
Doing an extended test with a set of 36 Mb images sum, importing 126, 127, 128 or 129 images worked. But importing 130 or more fails.
This might be related to bug #420369 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/openshot/+bug/420369).
