I think this problem is related to the version of FFmpeg, and not an MLT or
OpenShot bug.  Please re-test with Ubuntu 10.10 and OpenShot 1.2.2.  I bet
it will work.  Good luck.

Bug description:
Videos recorded with glc-capture and converted with mencoder (any output format) have vertical white lines in the black areas of the image (see attached screen capture). The white lines remain when video output is rendered. Tried converting the video beforehand to other formats, the problem persists. The same file plays okay (with no artefacts) when using the movie player.
