[Bug 684889] [NEW] Performance issues with multiple tracks

Public bug reported:

OpenShot 1.2.2 (and 1.3.0~alpha1), Ubuntu 10.10

When I create a multi-track OpenShot project, and try to preview the
video, if I have any more than one video running at the same time
(different videos on multiple tracks), the preview slows to a crawl. It
gets worse and worse with every video/track I add.

Adding titles, effects, music on top of video (some of which cross over
each other) slows OpenShot down so slow when previewing that it becomes
impossible to edit/review.

The preview, including jogging, needs to run at real time, else I can't
see how certain effects, transitions, sound edits, etc. work and makes
OpenShot therefore unusable.

** Affects: openshot
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
