This also happens when using the animation effect. If you have a photo,
for instance, that doesn't fit the aspect ratio of the screen, and try
to use the "zoom in" effect, it will stretch your photo to fill the full
screen.

The workaround for this is to expand the photo to the full frame size
with a graphics editor, adding background-colored sides to the photo.

Bug description:
  Hi,

I have clips with different video size and during a transition one of the clips will be resized which is not what I want in any case! ;)

So, generally it would be nice to specify if a clip should be automatically resized to project video size or not.
