[Bug 720682] Re: open fails after linux upgrade

Hi,
Effectively, we don't have on our website a rpm for Fedora. But a member of our forum is the creator of the rpm package for this distribution. Certainly, it will be available soon.

Openshot works with python 2.6 at less so the fact that the version 2.7
should not be a problem.

ETA what is it ? Sorry I don't understand.

You should think to check your version of MLT ( see here for having a
better idea of the dependencies same if their name could be different :
http://openshotusers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=758

Anyway, I am trying to list all the dependencies for each distribution
(at least the principals) and when Openshot will work on your
distribution It will be nice to tell me the dependencies that you have.
It will be helpful for the other. A lot of problems comes from a leak of
the right dependencies.

Thanks .

Title:
  open fails after linux upgrade

Status in OpenShot Video Editor:

Bug description:
I've upgraded my system to fedora 14 (from 12) and now open shot does not open.
I tried download and install openshot 1.3 -- you have no Fedora 14 OS selection -- so I downloaded the version for fedora 13 anyway. the installer says that python 2.6 is required -- python 2.7 is now the default version. HELP!
do you have an ETA for a Fedora 14 version that installs with python 2.7? -- to jsmeade@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
if not -- what do I do to get it to resume working?
  Thank you
