Public bug reported:

I previously tried installing from synaptic and encountered problems
because of the python-mlt version required (openshot wants 0.2, Kdenlive
wants 0.3), and the other problem seems to be that openshot is asking
for python 2.5 (according to software center). I will update the bug
description after I do some more checking.
