Re: Spell checking under Windows
Hi Jendrik,
thanks for your fast response. spell-checking was enabled, that is not
the problem. I had a look at the log and found the following lines:
2013-03-05 14:00:30,750 ERROR Spell checking could not be enabled:
"enchant error for language: en"
2013-03-05 14:00:30,750 ERROR Spell checking could not be enabled:
"enchant error for language: en"
I will create a bug report, which includes the full log.
Best Regards,
Michael

Hello RNB-users,
I recently updated my portable RNB to version 1.7.1 and tried to get
spell checking to work. I downloaded a german OpenOffice dictionary
(dE_DE_frami) und extracted the .dic and .aff as described at the
help file of RNB. After a restart of RNB there was still no sign of
spell checking. The next steps were to rename the dictionaries
(de_DE_frami.dic -> de_DE.dic -> de.dic), change the encoding (ANSI,
Ansi as UTF-8 and UTF-8), try an expanded aspell dictionary and even
copy the enchant dictionaries from Ubuntu. None of the described
steps lead to success. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong, or is
there a bug of RNB?
Hi,
have you enabled spell-checking (with F7)? Type some text like "House
Haus" and see which word is highlighted. You can change the
spell-checking language by right-clicking the text.
German spellchecking dictionaries should be included already. If the
spellchecking doesn't work, please make a bugreport with the logs you
get when running the application.
Cheers,
Jendrik
