Hi all,

I had another go at my mums installation.

Spec is Dell notebook running xubuntu 7.10 her router is one supplied by the broadband company (AAPT)

this is what I can find on the settings page of the router
Product Name: SpeedTouch 5x6
Serial Number: CP0704DTR09
Software Release: 6.1.0.5
Software Variant: AQ
Boot Loader Version: 1.0.6
Product Code: 3594265A
Board Name: BANT-V

UPnP: Enabled

yes it says UPnP enabled but remote-help does not recognise it?!

I added the ports 2112 manually to the routers routing table.

then I thought maybe I should tick the "Automatically manage firewall" and this was when the strange thing happened

the first click resulted in the tick box showing for a second a horizontal line and then reverted back to be blank.
at the same time the following lines appear on the CLI

	~$ remote-help-assistant
~$ sh: arith: syntax error: "succeeded+1"
	sh: arith: syntax error: "succeeded+1"

the next click brings up the tick but no sudo password is requested

attached is a log file from this procedure
