Thank you so much, it worked immediately! I added
ADD_PARAMETERS="--quirk-test --quirk-s3-bios --quirk-s3-mode"
to /usr/lib/pm-utils/defaults and suspend just works (running
pm-suspend, closing the lid or suspending from the gnome menu).
Hopefully it works for you too, Chalten.
