HI Holger,

I am using 2.6.38 too and I have my sound card working.
I compile the kernel myself, just make sure
CONFIG_SND_HDA_CODEC_REALTEK is "y" or "m" when you compile the
kernel. This is the sound card driver for my VPCZ139GG.
Also you may need to use alsaconf to help you configure your card.
