Re: new testing release of sony-laptop-zseries 0.9np8pre1

Hi

my technique on my linux install (archlinux on VPCZ13C5E) was the same as
described by Norbert Preining.
I'm now wondering what the latest stable sony-laptop module that works with
what latest stable kernel I should use because I tried it with
2.6.39-rc4-git3 but that gave me kernel panics a few times. If I understand
correctly, whenever the grapicsswitch is on stamina the sony-laptop module
would do the same as acpi_call. I don't have the hacked bios though altough
last time when I did this with 2.6.39-rc4-git3 I got ALOT more batterylife
and this would be appreciated to get more not only battery time but also
save on my battery degradation.

so can someone tell me what kernel version + what sony-laptop module is the
way to go these days (without the hacked bios)?
greets
