Re: Sony Vaio VGN-Z11MN

Hey Philipp!

Thank you for your really quick response and the links.

To be honest, I already found the page with the janitor script but thought it only would work with an installed Windows OS?! Hmm. Maybe it’s time to improve my English skills a little bit. I also wasn’t sure if the script will run under the latest Linux releases. But you said the distro (and the release dates?!) doesn’t matter, right?

Also I still quit new in the whole Linux environment. So I still work with some kind of respect, you understand.

But maybe I will try the janitor-script again, sounds like the best way for me.

The one thing that wonders me is that under Linux Mint I can use at least the intel graphics to work with the gnome 3 environment without any adjustment. With Ubuntu it’s not working. Mint is just a converted Ubuntu, right? When I check the 3d-performance in both distros using glxgears, I get (a small) performance in Mint, nothing in Ubuntu!? Hmm…

As I said, I will just try the janitor-script.

Danke schön! 
Stephan
