Thanks a lot Joël,
I have only one Graphic card on my Z2:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Device 0126 (rev 09)
So, no nvidia here, there's only one mode: stamina.
I know what you are talking about, since I also own an old Sony Laptop (SZ330P)
which has two video cards: nvidia and intel, speed and stamina respectively.
In this case I think there should not be confusion, since my Z2 doesn't allow
the speed mode.

Thank you Vick,
I know there is the sony-laptop module in the kernel, but since I have
these problems,
I searched a lot on Internet until I've found the sony-laptop-zseries
module on launchpad. So I decided to use it, instead
of the one in the kernel. As a matter of fact, I didn't notice any
difference using one instead of the other.
In any case, I am not able to increase/decrease the screen brightness.
I also did rmmod/modprobe sony-laptop (enabling/disabling the debug
mode, and other options), but nothing.
What the log says, is always the same boring message:
sony-laptop: brightness ignored, must be controlled by ACPI video driver
As regard the boot options: no problem. I don't have nothing about acpi_*.
Thank you so much,
best regards,
