Adam,
Yes, I'm using the "hacked" bios that enables static switching of
the graphics cards. Which driver does your Intel graphics use? Nouveau?
Er, the 'intel' X driver and 'i915' drm driver, of course, as all modern
Intel graphics hardware does.
Mine shows up as "Intel Ironlake Graphics" in the settings -> details
panel. Will installing the 3.12 kernel cause any issues with future
system (yum) updates? If so, should I wait for 3.12 to be released
officially through repo?
If you just grab a single 3.12 kernel and install it then nothing will
_break_ about updates, but you'll never get any kernel updates (IIRC).
nodebug is actually a repo in itself; you can simply enable it (by
grabbing
https://alt.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/rawhide-kernel-nodebug/fedora-rawhide-kernel-nodebug.repo and sticking it in /etc/yum.repos.d ) and from then on you'll get all your kernel updates from it. When 3.12 makes it to F19 stable you could then just turn off nodebug repo.
