Hi everyone,I have been doing some work to try to shrink the ISO as well as fix minor bugs, and make the system run using less memory.
Here are the major changes I have introduced: torios-installer is now a traybutton (yad is not running in the background) This will save a bit of memory, and provide the same nice functionality. There is a minor issue where I have a menu item that doesn't yet work... However, this should be fixed in the update. I rebuilt and uploaded a version already... This one is not current, though.I will be rebuilding one soon, and this will contain all the latest fixes and updates.
I think the grub installer showing the live drive is fixed. I also added a check, in case the firmware folder is not existant. This is a bit uneeded at this point, but it might come in handy if we need to remove the firmware debs to make the ISO CD sized. It would be worth having a small 14(ish) MB download in order to make the ISO CD sized. However I removed the deprecated .mozilla directory from the /etc/skel (we are not using seamonkey any longer) and I have also removed it from the live ISO. This *might* just get us the extra space we need to get back down to ISO size. I am quite surprised at how small this is, considering Ubuntu has just bumped their size limit considerably.
So, feel free to test the ISO, but please update obi-installer before you test anything! Otherwise I should have an ISO available sometime soon.
