Hi Israel,
.jwmrc attached.
The back ground is changed okay now.  I ran jwm-settings-manager --desktop and got the output included in the pic. and eventually the background changer window popped up.

    Woah.... that looks really odd.

    Can you just send me the entire file, there are some serious
      issues with your jwmrc if I understand your output correctly.

    

    

    Can you try changing the background by running

    jwm-settings-manager --desktop

    Or opening the settings manager and choosing the desktop option

    IIRC the menu item is actually the script.

    Though.. your jwmrc might have issues, since you have tested
      things for quite some time...
