It would be a good idea to come up with an 'official' design palette so
everyone who makes art can make it with all the correct colours.
Is there already an official designer? (Ali?)
With a global palette everyone who is designing elements (GTK themes,
openbox themes, logos, flyers, etc...) will be able to use the same
colours, and not have things look terribly off side by side.
I'd also like to point out that Blue makes me think of Lubuntu, so as
long as some other colour is used that ISN'T grey I think it will avoid
a clash of branding.
http://www.colorcombos.com/blue-color-schemes.html
is a good place to start.

I actually really like that logo. It's nice and simple and goes with
the light blue theme I am developing. I actually played off of it just
for fun, which is attached. I suppose I'll have to get an ubuntuone
account to cut down on attachments.
As far as the website goes for recruitment purposes, would you rather
I take the information from your document and incorporate it into the
splash page I currently have up at www.torios.org? I could make it
look nice and have it done by morning, unless I can get to it tonight.
Then we could hold off on launching the real site until we get closer
to our first release date. If I put up what I am working on now ASAP
for recruitment purposes, it will have slightly have baked components
- it needs a few more days.

step I think is to get the web site up and running, then put all the
info on how to get involved clearly on the website so its a case of
click and signup, granted people need e-mail & a launchpad account.
