Re: manual update 13/10/2014 and shutdown
Oh,
Ok, I think I understand
I am not entirely sure but the current version has:
<RootMenu height="0" onroot="9">
<Program icon="preferences-system-session.svg" label="Shutdown
Menu">jwm-settings-manager --halt</Program>
<Program icon="system-restart.svg" label="*Restart Computer
NOW*">dbus-send --system --print-reply --dest=org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit
/org/freedesktop/ConsoleKit/Manager
org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit.Manager.Restart</Program>
<Restart label="Reload Desktop" icon="system-restart.svg"/>
<Exit label="Logout" confirm="true" icon="system-logout.svg"/>
</RootMenu>
This will reboot automatically. This is very useful in this testing
phase. If we need it to prompt the user for confirmation, I am fine
with this. We can add in something in a later phase, but I like the
ability to have a quick option. We could simply remove it and just use
the shutdown dialog.
I could even make the shutdown dialog look different as well...
I haven't spent much time on the jwm-settings-manager right now... too
busy with the OS, and the programs within it.
I do want a localized shutdown menu for people. We now have
(tentatively) a localized Places menu (though I need to actually test
this :) if xdg-user-dir works as expected then the Places menu should work.
We also need a good way to add users easily.
But I think we are making good progress for such a small team :)
