[Bug 1407914] [NEW] [phone] No way to force a retry of GSM data connection

Public bug reported:

When in spotty coverage areas, the GSM data connection sometimes fails, and due to bug #1235120 there's no feedback on why there's no network available.
There's also no way to force a retry of the data connection other than toggling flight mode or the data connection type in cellular settings.

I would feel more in control if the GSM connections would be listed in
the network menu with the ability to switch to one of them (so being
able to switch data SIMs in a dual-SIM phone without going to settings).
Currently they're some magic connections that supposedly work by
themselves, but this assumption breaks when they stop working.
