A early notice about this would have been a good idea. Work has still been put in to improving the translations for the old slides.

I take it that by "don't worry about the deadline" you mean that the
deadline will be September 30th, same as the regular translations?

I am glad that you have planed to extend the deadline so that we may
translate the slide show. The screen shots are not that important as you
mention, it's more a "nice to have" thing.

To other translators, here is a more direct link to the list of new pot files for the slide show, you can grab the pot directly from that page, rename it to .po and translate it then and there if you feel like having a quick shot at it.

Why have the new slide shows not been made available for translation?
We have been maintaining the translation for the 10.10 slide show and in the end only one line actually matches the content of the final side show. This feels like an insult and a slap in the face, to to mention that the one translated line looks misplaced in the middle of all that English text.
Also how are we to translate the screenshots in the slideshow?
