Message #00168
screenshots moved into sibling dir/branch; images-draft branch created; ADD SCREENSHOTS
Per conversations in this list, I moved the default expected location for
screenshots to a sibling directory: images-<lingua>
Also, I created a branch to hold our draft images:
https://code.edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-developer-manual/ubuntu-developer-manual/images-draft
WRITERS:
Put your screenshots and other images into that branch ^^^. No subdirectories.
No localized file names.
In the tex file, add something like this (this is from the bzr chapter):
\screenshot{bzr-divergence.png}{bzr-divergence}{Trunk Branch is Diverged from
Local Branch}
Where:
* 'bzr-divergence.png' is the file name of the screen shot
* 'bzr-divergence' is the label so that you can create cross references to it
* 'Trunk Branch is Diverged from Local Branch' is the figure's caption
TO BUILD an en_US PDF using the images-draft branch
* it must be a sibling to ubuntu-developer-manual trunk branch directory
* and be named images-en_US
So, in trunk's parent directory:
1. bzr branch lp: ubuntu-developer-manual/ubuntu-developer-manual/images-draft
images-en_US
2. cd ubuntu-developer-manual
3. make
Cheers,
Kyle
