OS Ubuntu EEE 4.0.8.1 Hardy on ASUS EEE 900

at unlocking the screen (after locking with ctrl-alt-l or tru shutdown menu) the password is invalid. 

a workaround is selecting 'switch user' then the password is recognised as valid.
