To improve your ubuntu-eee system, i suggest you the following steps:

sudo aptitude purge flashplugin-nonfreebeta libdeskbar-tracker tracker-
search-tool tracker

sudo aptitude install flashplugin-nonfree

tracker is the responsible for the first boot duration, while
flashplugin-nonfrreebeta is always hanging after two or three videos on
youtube.
