I installed the 'regular' Ubuntu 8.04 (not the Ubuntu-eee tweak) on a 8Gb SD card. Installing on a SD card has the advantage that the original Xandros install remains untouched.
After the 5-step install (see 2008-07-30) the wireless worked under Ubuntu too!
