[Bug 283504] Re: 2.6.27-7 (intrepid) kernel requires v86d debian package

Unfortunately I cannot fix this directly in the kernel itself (setting status to invalid)
But I am assigning it to Ubuntu-Eee for the Intrepid release.

** Also affects: ubuntu-eee

** Changed in: ubuntu-eeepc-kernel

Bug description:
I'm trying the experimental 2.6.27-7-eeepc kernel on an eee 1000.

You need to install the debian package v86d for this kernel. This package is not included in Hardy, but it is in Intrepid.

Without it, the computer will not sleep. It gives an error message about not finding /sbin/v86d

If this kernel is not officially released before Intrepid then this doesn't matter so much. But for the Intrepid release of ubuntu-eee, make sure that the kernel depends on the v86d package which is included in Intrepid.
