It would help if you could tell which model of the Eee you are using and
describe in more details what doesn't work. Otherwise it's hard to help.

So you have two problems, the volume control not working and some videos
not working, right?

What happens when you change the volume? Can you mute the sound?

And what video formats are not working? In case of embedded videos in
web pages, can you provide some example URLs?
