I have an EEE PC 1000 and booting Ubuntu 8.10 with a USB key. On initial install and updates the following message appears: 

An error occured
The following details are provided:

E: linux-image-2.6.27-7-generic: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 17

Also, I am unable to get wireless to work while using the Ubuntu 8.10.

Questions:
1) Any idea of what this error is and what should I do to install this linux image?
2) Does this error have something to do with why my wireless does not not work?
