Re: [Question #50768]: Questions matching "fo some reasons my computer went off during the installation of some packages, now I can't install anything anymore and the answer I get is to use dpkg --configure -a which I don't know how to use; can someone help me? Thanks"

Question #50768 on Ubuntu Eee changed:

    Status: Open => Answered

Kyle Barger proposed the following answer:
I had the same problem--it was a nautilus package in my case. I thought
I'd try to remove it and reinstall, but it said it would also remove
some dependencies, and it looked like it might be a bad idea, so I
didn't do it. I tried replacing the dpkg status file with an old copy
as described in this posting, and it worked fine.
