[Question #55883]: installed 8.04.1 on eee 900. Want to expand partition

New question #55883 on Ubuntu Eee:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-eee/+question/55883

I installed 8.04.1 on my eee900 (20 GB) a few days ago. I took most of the defaults during the install and ended up with 3.75 GB allocated to ubuntu on sda, and 15GB allocated to my original file system from the Asus Linux on sdb. I've already backed up my old data files on removable storage, and I would like to erase or collapse sdb, and then allocate all, or most of the 20GB to Ubuntu on sda. I tried using the partition manager, but the re-size option is not available. How can I do this reallocation of storage? I don't mind reformatting and re-installing Ubuntu -- if required.
