Re: [Question #55883]: installed 8.04.1 on eee 900. Want to expand partition

Question #55883 on Ubuntu Eee changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-eee/+question/55883

    Status: Open => Needs information

Rouben requested for more information:
Unfortunately I'm still on the hunt for an external CD-ROM drive as I
want to install eeeBuntu. I might try converting the ISO image into a
format that I can just pop onto a USB memory stick like Ubuntu-eee
allows you to do...

Speaking of the user interface, what you're probably referring to is the
Netbook Remix user interface. Both eeeBuntu and and Ubuntu-eee ship with
it, actually. Ubuntu-eee doesn't really give you a choise; it's the only
interface they have, whereas eeeBuntu comes in three flavours: base
(bare-bones, designed for people who want to customize their install
manually), standard (fully fledged Ubuntu desktop with Office suite,
media playback, etc) and NBR (same as standard, except with the NetBook
Remix installed by default, the user interface you're referring to).

As I mentioned before, the one advantage eeeBuntu has over Ubuntu-eee is
that it's based on Ubuntu 8.10, which is the latest release. The Ubuntu-
eee team is still working on their 8.10 release.
