I've done a fair amount of retesting with Ubuntu GNOME, Ubuntu, and Edubuntu in regards to flashback w/metacity - both pre PPA and post PPA, and I'm 99% sure that we're not causing any regression. No idea why I had trouble with the panels/applets in my first test in Ubuntu GNOME, but on a retest on the OS I'd used to test the Saucy -> Trusty Alpha 1 upgrade all was well. So I purged everything related the flashback session, rebooted, and then reinstalled 'gnome-panel' in the problem OS and all was well ............ or I should say no worse than before applying the upgrades from the PPA because there are some existing issues with the flashback sessions. Moving on to our default GNOME DE and GNOME classic I see that you've fixed both of the bugs I reported - looks great now to me :^) I'm generally a mouse-centric user so I can't really help regarding keyboard shortcuts, sorry :^( Lance |
