Hi everyone,

Hello Barneedhar,

I am the bug triager guy for Ubuntu GNOME and I am absolutely sorry
for letting the backlog of bugs pile up. It's been a busy few weeks
and I tried to get back but couldn't get anywhere.

We do understand. Real Life comes first and I had to take off from everything few weeks ago because Real Life was giving me hell of time (while some of you may thought that I'm taking off or rest from Ubuntu GNOME but that is not true). So, for me, I do understand how life could make you REALLY busy. Worry not :)

I'll still continue
to try hard and if anyone wants to help me out, feel free to shout in
this mailing list or reach me on my email address.

If truth to be told, I am not happy with the fact that there is ONLY one person in charge of Bug Triage. We do have a big QA Team and if the current members are inactive and join just to get updates, this is not really helpful at all.
I really do think the whole QA team can be involved here, obviously there are only a few of us who have bug control access (Barneedhar, myself and Ali (for ubuntu-gnome project), however just emailing popular (as in affects multiple/many people) bugs to this list for our attention is a great help. I do try to keep tabs on most core bugs, but in reality many slip past.

Yes, that is the point and this is what should happen.

Reporting bugs is just the first step to help but triage these bugs is very important and everyone who is part of Ubuntu GNOME QA can be involved and IMHO should be involved. There are so many members of that team. They can work as two groups:

Group A: Reports Bugs
Group B: Triage Bugs

That if those who can report can't help with Triage.

Again:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Bug%20triage

And:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGNOME/Testing

As I mentioned here:
https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-gnome/2014-February/001547.html

People on our Social Media Channels are no longer interacting or responding to our Call for Help. These calls are useless as far as I can tell.

We have:
https://launchpad.net/~ubuntugnome-qa/+members

I am puzzled.
With all of those members, we could make Ubuntu GNOME the best ever, no doubt about it. But with very few helping, well, don't expect a rock solid system :)

If this is Greek to you, PLEASE ASK :)
Send me directly if you feel shy to ask on the list. Ping me and we can have a direct chat or talk (Hangout or Skype). I am ready for any kind of help and support but just be proactive and take the initiative  :)

Thanks for everything and let's move forward!

I am simply asking of anyone could step in and help Barneedhar and help Ubuntu GNOME, that is what we do need and highly appreciate. Otherwise, it would be really hard for him and the team.

Thanks,
Barneedhar.

Thank you so much for keeping us informed. Internal Communications is very important.

Good luck and take care!
