Re: Software Center instead of gnome-packagekit

 

This is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about previously. How can we expect Gnome to improve unless we do ship Gnome apps?

I thought Jeremy did quite well with the 12.10 release notes. It's informative enough to make folks aware of what may need to be tweaked post-install.

IMHO we only need a browser capable of downloading the desired browsers anyway ;^)

I've used both Firefox and Opera (each for different tasks) for so long it's doubtful I'd change anyway but it's reassuring to know that I can use Epiphany to download Opera since it's not in the repos.

Could you be more precise please? Maybe point us to bug reports? I've
been using Epiphany exclusively for years, and, apart from the recent
lack of Flash (which is about to come back anyway), everything works
flawlessly for me...
