Some suggestions here: Puhi could start by translating the gtk module
which contains mostly generic terms common to all systems (File, Open,
Print, Cancel, OK....) - there's no specific context here to worry
about.

Secondly, Ubuntu no longer officially supports PPC, so I think the
best option is to use QEMU to run Ubuntu in a virtual machine.
Alternatively one could install Debian which would provide the same
context (but would only receive the translations after I push them
upstream)

Thirdly, it's worth pointing out that most places where there is any
ambiguity projects provide translator comments anyhow to make sure the
context is clear.

Finally, Puhi should create a launchpad account soonest to be added to
the team and mailing list.

I'll double-check but I think that any translations we do for Maverick
will automatically be applied to language packs for Intrepid, Jaunty,
Karmic, and Lucid.

Yes, I know - I started the translation work as part of my koha to NZ.
Thankfully Launchpad has greatly simplified the learning curve for
contributors, so I am now very optimistic that we can make some real
progress.
